This tool is a simplified version of the Losseiver hearing loss simulator. It features some example hearing losses and those of Gordon, our founder. We hope the tool will allow you to share your experience with others in a way that can start to build empathy to hearing loss.

Choose your method (speakers or headphones):

Turn your audio output to zero.

Click "Play" above, and slowly turn the volume up until it sounds as though the voice is coming from within the room.

You are ready to use the simulator. Click "Continue to the Simulator" below.

When using headphones be aware that they can subject your ears to high level output, with the loudspeakers being very close to your ear.
